Check is the most valuable stage in the design innovation process. "The check is essential to understand what requirements the product should ultimately cater to and what problems it should resolve. The check, which is a product brief, is created from the design insights and is approved by the client. The product brief becomes the criterion for creating ideas and evaluating the concepts."

 It gives a clear direction without losing focus on the needs of the target user. Oversights in this stage of innovation can result in setbacks as the design advances.

We aspire to create a saree that preserves the essence, comfort & emotional value that the traditional form of saree carries while enhancing the major features of convenience. 
Using the ideas identified in our cause, context & comprehension section, we have the following as our checklist for the saree's design :

• Easier and less time consuming to drape and undrape for a person independently
• Made with soft, light, and comfortable fabric
• Uses lesser fabric to reduce the production cost & increase ease of washing-drying
• Fit for all sizes 
• Have negligible or no ironing requirements & can be stored efficiently
• Resemble a traditional everyday saree
• Have some kind of pocket to keep medicines, spectacles, money, etc.
